Schools and Students Compete in Collecting the Most Paper

We have stepped into the second school year touched by COVID-19 and those of you who have children are very well aware of the abnormality of the school year and as a matter of fact, life as is. Nevertheless, Hamburger Recycling CZ has launched a traditional school competition in the collection of secondary raw materials because it is what the company usually does in September with or without COVID-19.

The 2020/2021 school collection competition is not only an opportunity for schools to obtain extra funding, but it contributes to environmental education in an entertaining and interactive way as well. In addition, the company has prepared interesting motivational prizes so that schools and children will be driven to compete again.

HR CZ believes that the development of environmental thinking has the greatest effect on the young generation which then transfers the acquired habits to entire households. Therefore, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools are welcome to join this competition. The aim is to introduce and maintain a permanent system of Paper for Recycling collection in schools.

How to win? By filling out a registration form posted on HR CZ’s website, schools enter the competition and start sorting and collecting cardboard (grey, brown, corrugated and smooth), magazines, newspapers, leaflets, books (without hardcover), PET bottles and PET caps. The first place for a school is granted by the largest amount of collected paper. In addition, top 3 students win individual prizes.

To minimize the processing burden for schools, HR CZ arranges the pick-up of the collected material. Furthermore, each school that submits a registration form to the competition also receives 5 litres of COVID-19 disinfection and stickers to show that the students of that school sort waste responsibly.

The company believes that children can learn the principles of proper waste sorting through competition and thus contribute to improving the environment for all of us.
