Located in an industrial area of the city, connected to the main road and only 7km away from the highway, the new place contributes to an easier and more efficient transfer of the goods.
The new site was strategically chosen due to its good accessibility, enabling the company to effectively service their customers. The depot has improved working conditions for all employees, and an improved work-flow that contributes to the increase of warehouse productivity, better storage capacity and better visibility of the company. All movements of the ready for sale material is managed with the WOW digital stock monitoring tool.
The surface of the new location is 1890 m² from which 120 m² are the offices and 1770 m² is the main production area. A significant part of the investment was used for safety measures, as required by Romanian regulations including a complex sprinkler and fire protection system as well as a surveillance system.
The quality of the collected and traded waste could significantly increase because of improved sorting and storing conditions. There is still room to improve and HR Romania plans to work hard to extend the volumes. The new location will provide better growth possibilities in collection and a chance to start a better cooperation with local municipality.
At the moment 16 employees are working in 1 shift in Bragadiru, with a fleet consisting of 2 hook trucks and 3 small trucks with tarpaulin. In that way the company plans to collect 1200 tons/month of material for recycling in the next year. 20% of the materials for recycling processed in HR Romania are sold locally in Romania, and the rest is exported, main customer being Hamburger Containerboard Turkey.
